Christmas Eve and Snowmen!

We didn't have a star for the top so Nathan wanted to put his hat on top. Then he wanted it down so he didn't leave it up for very long. Funny boy!

We were so excited when we got snow on Christmas Eve, so Nathan and Josh hurried to play in it and make a snowman while Ian was sleeping and I was cooking stuff for dinner. They started off with just one snowman but Nathan wanted another one, so they made two! When they started building, there wasn't too much snow yet, so as they were rolling the balls the snow was collecting the leaves on the ground. Nathan was so proud of his snowmen! :)
We were glad we got to enjoy our Christmas Eve with our friends the Ansons! We ate a delicious dinner together, decorated gingerbread houses, and worked on a puzzle. It was a fun night! Then it was time to come home, let the boys open their pj’s, fix a plate of cookies and milk for Santa, and get the kids to bed! It was so cute, before the boys opened the pj’s Nathan wanted to make a present for me. So him and Josh went in the bedroom and made it. It was all Nathan’s idea! He cut out pages and drew pictures for a book, and then wrote a little note on the back. It was so cute and I loved it!
Christmas Tree!
We decided to get a real christmas tree this year! We kinda went the easy way (and less expensive way!) and just got our tree from Lowe's. :) It was so fun to have a real tree, although it was so hard for me to make a decision on which tree to get! So we finally picked one after going back and forth between a bunch of trees, a bunch of times, and tied it on top of the car. Good thing Lowe's was pretty close to our house! We almost lost the tree once on the way home! It started slipping off so we hurried and pulled over before it fell off and got it tied back on. It was a very pretty tree and we enjoyed it all season! Of course we did have to block it in the corner to keep Ian away from undecorating it and tearing it to pieces. :)
Light up St. Louis
We went downtown when they lit up the giant Christmas tree and enjoyed the festivities inside Macy's. The kids got to sit on Santa's lap, we saw Fred Bird (Cardinals mascott), Nathan got his face painted and sent his letter to Santa! It was a fun night out!
