So even though I haven't posted anything forever we really have been doing some fun things. Hopefully I will have the patience to update everything that has been going on..if I can remember it too! Anyway, here we go..I know you all have just been waiting to see what we have been up to out here in good ol' St. Louis!
Nathan and I have been having a grand ol' time just hanging out at home when nothing else is going on. Nathan LOVES to help me vacuum. Actually he doesn't like to help me, he just likes to do it all by himself. With absolutely no help from me. If only this willingness to help will last into his teenage years! So needless to say it is quite a process to vacuum, and to clean the bathrooms, or anything else! Also Nathan found this baby jumper toy a while ago and has had lots of fun pretending to be a baby again. We let him play in it for a couple weeks but then dad spoiled the fun and put it away...something about Nathan being too big and dad not wanting it to break! Good thing he forgot about it pretty quick.
Nathan and I went to the zoo with some friends a couple of weeks ago. What a great way to spend a beautiful spring day! Nathan and his friend Baker had a great time. Nathan still occasionally walks around the house like the gorilla in the picture. We love the zoo. Especially the fact that it's FREE!! It's great exercise for the moms too!!
The Saturday before St. Patrick's Day we went to the parade in downtown St. Louis with a group of friends from our ward. This was the first time we had actually been "downtown," (well we had been there when we went to a Cardinals game when we first moved here but we didn't really know it, plus it was dark) so it was fun to see the area and to be so close to the arch. We rode to the parade with a great friend who was so nice to take us along with her and show us around the area. She told us about lots of cool places and fun things to do. So we decided we need to start exploring more whenever we have a chance on Saturdays! Maybe she will be our tour guide?!! Anyway it was our first St. Louis parade and we were not disappointed! The kids got to play in all the bounce houses and get their face painted before the parade and had a blast. Then we all had a little picnic while we waited in our seats for the parade to start. The parade was pretty impressive, with festive horses, dogs, huge balloons, marchings bands, irish dancers, lawn chair dancers, lawn mowers, classic cars, and much more that I can't even think of right now. It was a great day, spent with great friends, and we will definitely be going to more of the future St. Louis parades!

The other day when Josh got home from class we headed off to the park to meet some friends. Nathan and I were very excited that dad got to go play with us! You can never go wrong with a park, but it was even more fun when daddy broke out the kite! There was just enough wind. Nathan loves flying kites, and he did a really good job sharing his kite with all his little friends too! (I just remembered this was on St. Pat's Day. Love the green!)

And I guess that sums up the main activities of our month! I really can't believe that March is almost over. I am so excited to be getting to the end of the cold weather! Hopefully in a couple of months I won't be complaining too bad about the sticky, hot, humid weather. Anyway, I think I am caught up enough now! Hopefully I won't wait so long to update next time!
