Quick post of what we did during the month of July!

 

Played at the little lake here in Cedar...

Attempted a family picture with the tripod one morning before church.  Not too shabby:)

 

Tried to do sparklers, but they were basically duds.  Just burned and smoked, no "sparkling" involved. 

Nathan turned 6 on July 29th!!  He had a pirate party, which was great because I just took all of my sisters pirate ideas and stuff from the party that she did. :)  They made swords, had sword fights, walked the plank, played a canon ball water balloon game, and a few other games.  I think they all had fun! 

The pathetic pirate treasure cake that we had the next day as a family on his actual birthday.  Atleast it tasted good:)

 

 

4th of July!  (I guess the 4th of july should be at the top in order, but oh well!)  We went to the parade here in Cedar, and then over to the park for a few of the activities going on there.  We were spoiled by the parades in St. Louis I guess...the parade was pretty lame here!  Oh well, it was still a fun day! 

 

Ian didn't like the loud sirens :)

 

 

Playing in the backyard.  We found a cheap swingset at a garage sale at the beginning of the summer, and the kids have had lots of fun playing on it!
