I finally did it!

I made a bag/purse yesterday, and I had so much fun doing it! I have been meaning to do this forever, and I finally got some material to do it. It's definitely not perfect, and I wish I could've done something cuter on the front pocket (I'm not creative at all), but I thought it turned out pretty well! I have some more cute material that I can't wait to use to make another one. Maybe I will do it this week! Now I am in the mood to do some more fun projects. Any ideas of something else I could do? Anyway, here is a picture of it...
Also, this is a picture from the other day. I'm trying to decide if I still want Nathan to take naps or not. I put him in his room every day and tell him he either has to play quietly or take a nap, and he usually ends up falling asleep after he plays for a while. But then he has a hard time getting to sleep as early as I would like him to. When I try to hold him off without having a nap he gets super cranky and really tired around 3 or 4, but he does go to sleep really good for bedtime. I can't decide what I want him to do, nap or no nap. Any advice out there?? I just don't know if I'm ready to give up that peaceful, quiet time I get to be alone while Nathan is napping! I know, how selfish right?! So here is a picture of a no nap day at about 3:00. Nathan couldn't take it any longer and fell asleep on the couch wanting me to turn on Cinderella for him. So sweet and peaceful!!

Cute purse... They are fun huh! I never use mine though... it's not big enough for all my stuff :) Yours is really cute and I think you did a great job on the pocket. You ARE to creative Tina! Beth sold some cute onesies at the craft fair that I want to make... They were really cute.

My password thingy says kedric... ha. Weird.

Hey Tina, good job on the bag!
so i have some friends who live out there and did something cool lately. if you go to my link list they are the one that says Coleman's Est. 2003 they went up to Alton, Il, (just north across the river) and saw the eagles feeding. you probably have heard of this, but in case you haven't it looked cool to me so i thought i would pass it along. they rode a trolley out to see them but i don't know if you have to. anyway, go check it out on their blog and she is super nice so if you were to need to leave a comment and ask her about it i'm sure she would help you out.
and if you aren't interested then that is fine too. just an fyi. :)
good luck with the nap thing, at his age i was still fighting for the day time nap but its different with every kid.

Tina, OH my Gosh we are having the same dilema!! So no advice here, just empathy because I know just how you feel. The last week we have had naps about every other day and that seems to be o.k.

What? Josh lets him watch Cinderella? *GASP*!!!! I'm all for the nap. That way you can enjoy your down time instead of being tired after putting up with cranky all day :) Heather

Losing the nap is a difficult time. Does Josh get to see him much if he goes to bed earlier?

This is just one of those wonderful times that we get to go through as parents. JJ is 4 1/2 and takes naps once a week - during Sacrament meeting. Week days he just goes - no nap.

I would encourage you to keep him doing a "quiet time" even if he loses the nap. It is good for both of you.

Good luck!

Nathan may not need naps anymore but you both need the quiet, alone time! I don't think its selfish, its like filling up your lamp with oil so you can give light to Nathan (and Josh and yourself)!!!

Super cute bag - way to go!!
