We were so lucky to have some of my family come out for when we blessed Ian (Which was on May 30th. Yes I'm way behind)! My Dad, Mom, Ted, Pam and TJ made the loooong drive out here and got to stay with us for a few days. Went to the St. Louis Arch! My Dad, Ted, Pam, TJ, and Nathan all took the trip up to the top of the arch while Me, Josh, Ian and my Mom stayed down and checked out the museum.
We ate at a place called Pappy's Smokehouse down by the Arch and it was super Yummy! Our friends had told us a little about it and also one of my brothers had seen it on the show Man vs. Food so we went there for lunch one day. Yummmm!! It was awesome!
We went and walked around the beautiful St. Louis temple. Of course Nathan couldn't resist trying to play in the fountain in front of the temple! It was nice to go enjoy the temple surroundings!
Nathan wanted a superhero mask one day so my mom quickly made these cute little masks for him and TJ. They had a lot of fun playing superhero together! (I actually just had to make Nathan a new mask the other day when this one broke:)) Also my amazingly talented and handy dad tuned our piano! We got it for free off of Craigslist a while ago and it was in desperate need of a tuning. We just hadn't gotten around to getting it done. So my dad checked it out and tuned it himself! Impressive! I'm not really surprised though...he can fix anything. Thanks dad! It sounds a lot better now!
We went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The kids made a wish, fed the geese and fish, rode on the sheep, and took a couple trips around the maze. It was way hot and sticky but I think we all still had a good time. We were all definitely ready to feel the AC again!
Well these are all the things I got pictures of, but we also had fun just hanging out and relaxing. Ted and Pam, and Josh and I got to go to a movie (which I fell asleep in) and also play sand volleyball with a group of friends while my parents watched the kids. Thanks so much!! The fam caught some fireflies in a jar one night, which Nathan loved and kept for a few days. Well I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out but we had a lot of fun. Like I said, the time went by way too fast while they were here and none of us wanted them to leave! After they left Nathan just sat in the chair being sad and sang a song about how he didn't want them to leave. So sad! He had a lot of fun having TJ here to play with! And of course everyone else too! We loved having them here and are so glad they sacrificed and make the trek out here to support us! As for Ian's blessing, I have some pictures that I will post soon...hopefully!

That is so fun that your family was able to travel back to see you guys. It looks like you had a great time visiting the temple and St. Louis. It's so cool that you have fireflies back there. :) I hope everything's going good for you!
