I know I'm slow...4th of July

Our fourth of July was pretty uneventful this year, but we still had fun! Friday night we got together with a big group from our ward to watch fireworks. We went early and hung out for a while waiting for the show to begin. Nathan and Josh played catch for a while to help the time go by! It was an awesome show and we had a great view! Josh and I enjoyed the fireworks, but I'm not so sure about Nathan. He still hates loud noises, so he just glued his hands to his ears until he was sure there were no more. The next morning we went to the church for a ward breakfast, which was yummy! We had planned on going to the big parade downtown after that, but ended up not being able to. How sad! I was so excited for the parade, but it was pouring rain all morning:(. Like pouring so bad that they closed down a part of the road for a while from flooding...(too bad they didn't get there to close it until after our friends car died in the middle of the flood on the way to the breakfast, huh!?). So we just went home and hung out for a while and then went over to our friends house for dinner. We had a yummy dinner, did some fireworks, and the kids did a few sparklers! Remember last year when Nathan was terrified and wouldn't touch those little popper things!? I was hoping he would like them this year, but no, still hated them and wouldn't touch them. So that was our weekend. We didn't do the usual activities, but it was still fun to have Josh with us and spend some time with friends!
