I guess I've procrastinated this post for long enough now. I really have been dreading doing all the catching up I need to do of all the things we have done in the past month. So just so you know this post might be really random and not very well put together!
Before we left for Utah...
We went to see a nativity,(they had a really cool christmas light display), we got to pet and feed some cool animals, and Nathan and I got to ride a camel! (By the way, we were told camels don't really spit, they only do in Disney movies!) It was a really fun night, it was nice to spend time as a family, and Nathan loved the animals.
Nathan experienced what it feels like to step in snow with bare feet! He was talking to my mom on the phone one morning and she was telling him that he could play in the snow when we got to her house in Utah, so he gave the phone back to me and went along doing whatever. He got a great idea from grandma! A few minutes later I heard him screaming, and I found him standing out on our deck in the snow with bare feet! I guess his feet were just so cold he couldn't even move. Poor little thing! So after that I bundled him up and let him play out on our deck in the snow, and he had a lot of fun until it got too cold!
We decided instead of taking all our Christmas stuff with us we would just have Nathan open his presents before we left..of course we still took a few of his really small and packable (is that a word?!) things with us. So the Sunday before we left Santa came while Nathan was taking a nap!! He was pretty excited to open all his presents!
Anyway, those are a few of the things we did, in a nutshell, before we left for Utah.
As for our trip to Utah...it was Wonderful!!! And much needed! The flights both went really well and Nathan thought it was really cool to fly in a airplane. We had so much fun doing so many things. We got to spend time with both of our families, and also some great friends. We got to go tubing, ice skating, played lots of clue, poker, and many other fun games, raced cars (toy ones), played guitar hero, rock band, wii, ping pong, watched my brothers play in a high school basketball tournament, ate tons of yummy food, lit a ten foot string of firecrackers on New Years Eve at midnight, visited and just hung out, and many more things I'm sure I'm leaving out! Oh yeah and we all, especially Nathan, got way off our sleeping schedules! We are still trying to get Nathan back into his routine! Anyway, we had a very enjoyable Christmas vacation and break from everything. It was so nice to not have to worry about anything...we were so well taken care of. A big thanks to everyone for everything they did for us!! It was sooo nice to see so many of you! We're missing all of you already!
Well here is a ginormously long slide show of our month! Hope you make it through all the pictures!!
