We Made It!!

Well we made it to St. Louis, Missouri yesterday at about 1:30, rented our car and surprisingly found our motel in Chesterfield without anything too crazy happening. It was my first time flying, which was pretty exciting, although take off and landing was a little wierd. It definitely beats driving though! When we got here it was raining, humid, and cloudy. Just the kind of weather I hate! I HATE humidity and rain! So anyway we swam (well sat in the hot tub) a little and then went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. Our motel is way nice and is right next to Chesterfield mall, which we haven't been to yet but hopefully will before we leave!! Then today we went to the Slice of Logan event, the college open house thing we came for, until two o'clock, and then we have been trying to find our way around looking for housing. We have found a couple so far that we like, and it made us realize that we are so blessed with our housing and rent in Cedar. Yeah we'll probably be paying triple the amount we pay now!! So we will continue looking for housing on Monday and will hopefully get it figured out by Wednesday when we leave. Man it is crazy trying to find addresses here!! I'm pretty sure I'll just be stuck at home for atleast a year when we move here cuz I won't dare drive anywhere. I actually don't hate the area too bad....but I still am not thrilled to be moving here in August. I didn't know there were so many trees here. It makes it all seem so green with all the trees being so thick. We have taken pictures but I'm too lazy to upload them now, so you'll have to see later. Anyway this is getting way too long and I should probably be taking a nap like Josh is, since we had to wake up at 5:30 this morning! We will definitely be worn out when we get home! I will post pictures and stuff later on. Oh yeah, this morning when we woke up I looked outside and I couldn't even see the ground or the building right next to us because there was way thick fog. Crazy, that is not how I pictured it being. Good thing it cleared up by about tenish?? and turned into a clear day with no rain. Ok, this is finally the end!

I am so glad you posted a blog about your adventures so far. It feels so empty and weird without you guys being across the street. Sure miss you guys. I don't know what we are going to do when you move. Guess we will just have to keep up through blogs. Sounds like you have been very busy so far, but having a good time. Good luck with finding a house. Can't wait for you guys to return.

Tina, i know exactly where you are, i ate at that macaroni grill all the time when we lived there!! you'll get used to the roads and stuff out there, you'll like it and will figure it all out, that is a good location too for finding stuff to do. a GPS does help though so i would suggest thinking about that one. :) it is different from our utah blocks for sure. :) rent really is different everywhere else in the world than it is in utah, it gets a lot more expensive!! have fun though, and i hope you find what you are looking for. Good Luck!!

That's so crazy that you guys are actually going to be moving out to Missouri! I'm sure it's kind of hectic and hard at first, but it also sounds like an exciting new adventure. I hope you guys are able to find a good apartment and that the whole moving & transition works out smoothly. It's kind of sad to have you guys be moving, but I'm sure great things will come of it! We'll definatley have to keep in touch.

How exciting! You will have to update with pictures of all the fun places you went. I can understand why you are a little nervous about moving, but I'm sure once you get settled in there, you are going to love it. I went to St. Louis in August though, and I agree - the humidity is no fun. But St. Louis is such a cool place. Good luck!!
