Random catching up!

Even though I haven't posted anything for a while, we have been super busy having lots of fun. Last week we were finally able to bust out Nathan's new swimming pool and he loved it! I must say it does look like a pretty fun pool! He had so much fun playing on the slides and spashing into the water. He was entertained for a long time and did not want to go inside. Later that day when I was changing his diaper I noticed a little pink on his skin up by his collar on his shirt. That's right, his poor little back, shoulders, and chest were FRIED. I felt soooo bad. I had put sunscreen on his arms, face, ears, and neck, while we were playing outside before he swam, but I completely forgot to after I took his shirt off. You can't really tell from the pictures, but he looked like he was wearing a red shirt! How sad. I am such a bad mom, I know. Yeah so it was pretty painful for a few days, and of course it peeled, but now it is doing better. I have definitely learned my lesson!

As for other things, my sister Julie's husband Micah got home from serving in Iraq! We welcomed him home on Thursday and it was so good to see him back home for good again. I am so happy for Julie to have him back home. She is so amazing! I never could have done what she did. Welcome home Micah! We are so grateful for your service!

And last of all....I was over at Beth's house after we welcomed Micah home, and they have this basketball hoop that Nathan loves. So he thought it would be fun to take it outside. Instead of having me help him he just lifts the whole thing off the ground and carries it outside! It was so funny! He is so independent, so I guess it's a good thing he's so strong. Harper was so nice to help Nathan carry it, and also wanted me to take a picture of him!
